- Betting Sites
It can be hard finding a betting site available in India that is licensed, trustworthy, accepts Indian Rupees, and has amazing customer service.
Our official Funbet review for sports betting highlights that this betting site has all those things, and we test every aspect of this new bookmaker. Scroll down to learn more about all their betting features, the Funbet welcome bonus, and much more.
FunBet’s new customer offer gives punters 100% of their first deposit back up to ₹10,000 as bonus funds.
This is much more generous than theie previous welcome bonus, and we can honestly say that this is one of the top sign up offers available to punters in India at the time of writing.
|Funbet Sports Welcome Bonus||100% up to ₹10,000||WFUNBETSBIN|
|18+, New Customers only – Min. qualifying deposit: ₹800 – Users must opt-in using the bonus code above when placing their first deposit – Wagering requirement: 6x deposit + bonus – Full terms and conditions apply|
There are odds restrictions, payment method restrictions, and some pretty hefty wagering requirements involved in turning those deposit funds into real money, though. This is definitely a sign-up offer that some bettors may not be able to redeem unless they aim for a realistic bonus amount.
You need to ensure that you don’t use any e-wallets when making this first deposit, which doesn’t leave you many other options, as you can see in our section on Funbet’s supported payment methods below.
To redeem the maximum bonus of ₹10,000, you need to wager the sum of your deposit and your bonus six times over, which means wagering ₹120,000 within 30 days for a ₹10,000 bonus. For those wanting to see the math, it looks like this:
₹10,000 + ₹10,000 = ₹20,000
₹20,000 x 6 = ₹120,000
We recommend that the average punter aims for a more realistic bonus amount that's easier to redeem. A ₹2500 bonus, for example, is much more realistic goal than the full ₹10,000, and is still a bigger bonus than many other bookmakers give to punters in India.
A ₹2500 bonus would require you to wager ₹30,000, which might be a bit high for an average month, but FunBet's bonus helps offset that by a lot.
In addition to all that, there are also odds restrictions to keep in mind. Single bets only contribute towards wagering requirements at odds of 2.00 (Evens), and combination bets need each selection to be at odds of 1.30 (3/10) with a total odds of 2.00 (Evens).
Punters should be aware that failing to redeem their bonus not only invalidates their bonus, but they’ll also forfeit all the winnings associated with the bonus. If you plan on placing bets at FunBet, we recommend giving their welcome bonus a pass unless you’re a high-roller.
100% Up To ₹10,000
We were pleased to see that despite the welcome bonus being a little disappointing, Funbet feature regular promotions for their existing users.
At the time of writing, Funbet were offering two active promotions for sports betting, and a conversation with their customer service representative revealed that event-specific promotions were coming in the near future and that we could expect to receive regular promotions via email that aren’t listed on the site.
This makes Funbet an ideal betting site for punters who like bonuses, as there are almost constant opportunities to add value to their betting bankroll.
When it comes to betting sites in India, users can never be too careful as there’s no local licensing authority keeping things in check. Luckily, we can confirm that Funbet is safe and secure and gets the Sportsbetting24 stamp of approval.
Funbet are owned by Genesis Global Limited, a company behind several online casino brands who have been in operation since back in 2014. While Funbet may be brand new, the team behind this betting site are industry veterans.
Yes, Genesis Global Limited, and as an extension Funbet, is licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority (licence number: MGA/B2C/314/2015). The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) imposes strict laws and restrictions on all of their licence holders, many of which surrounding user data protection, user funds protection, and fairness.
Funbet’s MGA licence is even further complemented by the fact that their site is 256-Bit SSL Secured. This means that their website is exceptionally protected against outside threats and interference.
Punters can also benefit from Genesis Safe Play, which is Genesis Global Limited’s suite of responsible gambling tools to help users identify if their online betting behaviour is problematic, as well as provide resources to help those who need them.
All in all, there’s no doubt for us that Funbet is a trustworthy betting site that doesn’t pose any immediate or significant risk to our readers.
Funbet impressed us with their selection of payment methods. Not only do punters have the classic options of bank transfers, credit cards, and debit cards, but also a list of popular e-wallets to choose from!
Luckily for potential punters in India, Funbet accept Indian Rupees. This means that bettors don’t need to waste money paying currency conversion fees and can more easily calculate their returns while placing bets.
Funbet have very reasonable minimum and maximum deposits in place, suiting all sorts of bettors from the most casual to the high rollers. The minimum deposit allowed is ₹800, and the deposit limit is ₹400,000 for a single transaction.
Between the deposit terms and the selection of banking methods, depositing at Funbet is simple, easy, and quick. It’s highly unlikely that punters in India will need to sign up for any sort of service that they don’t already use.
Considering Funbet’s minimum withdrawal is a relatively reasonable ₹1,600 for each of their supported withdrawal methods, we walked into this phase of the Funbet review test relatively hopeful.
|Withdrawal Method||Withdrawal Time*||Withdrawal Limit|
|2-3 Business days||₹200,000|
|*Not including internal processing time, which may take up to 5 business days|
In terms of withdrawal limits, Funbet also impose weekly and monthly withdrawal limits for each user. The weekly limit is set at ₹440,500 per user, and the monthly limit is ₹1,760,000. This is more than reasonable for the vast majority of punters out there, and we can’t see very many people having issues with these limits.
One of the biggest problems we have with how they handle punters’ money is that Funbet’s withdrawals take a long time.
The withdrawal times listed in the table above were lifted directly off Funbet’s website. However, while testing out Funbet’s 24/7 live chat feature, we discovered that none of those times included Funbet’s internal processing time, which can take up to 5 business days.
This means that punters in India who are making a withdrawal via bank transfer can end up waiting up to a week and a half for their money. Luckily, Funbet support enough e-wallets that most punters won’t have to wait much longer than Funbet’s internal withdrawal processing time, as those transactions are instant once initiated.
Unfortunately, yes, Funbet charge withdrawal fees on every withdrawal. This isn’t something we see very often anymore, as most other bookies have done away with withdrawal fees. Funbet, however, take their own piece of the pie.
Funbet take 2% of all withdrawal transactions, with the minimum fee being ₹160. This means that if punters withdraw less than ₹8,000 in a single transaction, they need to pay ₹160 even though it’s more than 2%. If a punter only withdraws the minimum amount allowed of ₹1,600, then the ₹160 fee adds up to 10% of their withdrawal!
Considering our findings when comparing the value of Funbet’s odds below, Funbet are not necessarily the bookie that provides the best value to online sports bettors in India.
What most punters really want to know is how good the Funbet sports betting experience is. Funbet runs on the SBTech betting platform, which is one we’ve seen on plenty of other betting sites.
As we need to cover a variety of different aspects and features in this section, feel free to click on any of the links below for easier and quicker navigation:
One of the best aspects of Funbet’s betting suite is that they cover almost every sport out there. This means that punters who like betting on more niche sports, like MMA or Snooker are well served.
The exceptions, however, are ones that bettors in India might not be too pleased about: Kabbadi and Horse Racing. Unfortunately, you can’t bet on Kabbadi or Horses at Funbet at the time of writing, and this is more of an issue with SBTech, their betting provider, than Funbet themselves.
|💡 TIP! If you’re interested in betting on Kabbadi or Horse Racing, head to our guide to the top online bookmakers for Kabbadi, or our page on the best sites for horse betting to find the best options for these sports.|
Other than that, though, we didn’t experience any issues when looking for specific sports or events at Funbet. Punters have access to thousands of events and tournaments to bet on at any given time, making Funbet pretty close to being a one-stop-shop for betting opportunities.
Funbet feature both total and partial Cash Out, which is great news for punters who like to have more control over their profit/loss margins. However, Funbet don’t actually control the Cash Out features themselves, but their betting provider SBTech does.
Unfortunately, you can’t see if bets can be Cashed Out before wagering. The only way to know if Cash Out is available on your bets is to head to Funbet’s Cash Out section. This can make it a lot more difficult to plan out your betting slip, or to employ a more efficient strategy when using Funbet’s live betting suite (more on this here).
Funbet have taken a unique approach to this part of their betting suite. Funbet’s Bet Builder is only available on mobile and tablet, and not the desktop version of their site.
The Bet Builder feature works well, and is even tied to an ongoing promotion at the time of writing, like we mentioned above in the bonuses & promotions section. We found the service to be relatively quick, though the odds could have been a little more generous.
One thing that punters may not be aware of, though, is that while there isn’t a Request a Bet feature built in to Funbet’s site, users can request bets over live chat.
It must be noted, though, that SBTech, not Funbet, decide if the bet can be run or not. Funbet’s customer support agents act as the middle-men who pass on your request to SBTech and inform you of their verdict.
This means that punters can easily access customised bets, even if Funbet don’t make this explicitly clear on their website.
As we’ve seen before with SBTech-powered betting sites, the availability of betting markets depends on the sports you want to bet on. Football matches, for example, generally have dozens, if not hundreds of markets available.
Fans of football betting are definitely well-served when it comes to betting markets at Funbet. Whether you’re looking for outrights, match-winners, over/under bets, or pretty much any football market you can think of, you’re likely to find it at Funbet.
Funbet also do well with a variety of cricket betting markets available on most matches, as well as other popular sports like tennis and basketball. Overall, Funbet give punters a decent amount of options to customise their bet slip.
When it comes down to it, the one thing that every punter needs to know before signing up to a betting site is whether or not they provide well-priced odds. To measure this, we put Funbet up against Gatobet (a betting site of similar age), and against 888Sport (one of the leading industry brands).
We compared the pre-match odds that each bookie offered for the same Indian Premier League cricket match. Our results are as follows:
|Mumbai Indians||Chennai Super Kings|
|10/17 (1.58)||1/1 (2.00)|
|₹1264 return*||₹1600 return*|
|₹464 profit*||₹800 profit*|
|8/11 (1.72)||11/10 (2.12)|
|₹1376 return*||₹1696 return*|
|₹576 profit*||₹896 profit*|
|3/4 (1.78)||27/25 (2.08)|
|₹1424 return*||₹1664 return*|
|₹624 profit*||₹864 profit*|
|*Based on an ₹800 winning bet

Unfortunately, Funbet provided the lowest value for each outcome in our test, most notably for the Mumbai Indians, who seemed to be favoured by all three bookies. The differences between Funbet and the competition were much more dramatic than the odds provided for the Chennai Super Kings.
In terms of overround, which indicates the price markup that bookmakers apply to odds to make a profit, this is how each of the betting sites performed in our odds comparison test:
What’s a little shocking to see is that Funbet’s odds are marked up almost 9% more than 888Sport’s odds, meaning that they aren’t quite the best out there when it comes to value for money.
One thing we love about Funbet is that it’s extremely easy to navigate their site. The site itself is simple and clean looking, mostly made up of light greys and whites, with navy, red, and yellow accents to help guide users.
Everything punters need is presented in the perfect amount of headers, side bars and filters; meaning punters can focus on the actual betting, with most things just a single click away. Funbet is a breeze to use, and doesn’t tire your eyes even when spending hours on the site, which we do as part of our review testing.
Betting on the go is the new normal, so it’s extremely important for punters to be able to place bets on their mobiles and tablets. This betting site was clearly designed with this in mind, as Funbet is fully mobile compatible.
It’s not unheard of for betting sites to have some features that are only available on their desktop site. However, as we saw when discussing their Bet Builder feature above, with Funbet the opposite is true. The Bet Builder feature is only available on mobile.
The site adapts to different screen sizes exceptionally well, as you can see in the screenshots below. If anything, Funbet’s amazing UI works even better on mobile, which is great news for punters who want to quickly place a bet or two while on the go.
Unfortunately, no, Funbet don’t have native smartphone apps at the time of writing. However, as their mobile site is completely fully-featured, we don’t see this as a problem.
Whether you’re using Android or iOS, smartphone or tablet, Funbet is designed to work with all your devices. This also means that punters don’t need to download any applications or use up space on their home screens or app drawers.
Punters can still add a shortcut to their home screens for easy access if they like, and we have a guide on how to do that on our betting apps page.
Like we mentioned in the section on Funbet’s core betting suite above, all the betting on this site is powered by SBTech. Unfortunately, SBTech’s live betting suite is just about average.
The event coverage is good, like with pre-match betting, and the user interface makes it very easy to upcoming live matches. However, the limited selection of live betting markets and how early they stop being available might not be suited to live betting aficionados.
Similar to the pre-match odds which we compared above, the live odds are not very competitively priced, and live odds are already subject to a higher markup than pre-match odds across the industry.
No, Funbet does not have live streaming. Unfortunately, this is down to the SBTech platform, meaning this si true of all betting sites that use the platform.
A match tracker is available to help punters try keep up-to-date on the matches, and this will be enough to help more casual punters get by.
|💡 TIP! If live-streaming is a dealbreaker for you when choosing a new regular bookie, we recommend taking a look at our list of the best bookmakers who offer live streaming.|
While there’s no mention of a VIP programme anywhere on Funbet’s site, it’s actually quite normal for bookmakers to keep this information extremely private. While interacting with one of Funbet’s customer service agents on live chat (more on that below), we discovered that Funbet do indeed have a VIP programme.
As is also normal in the online betting industry, Funbet’s VIP programme is invite-only, so there’s no way to apply to join it yourself. We also discovered that their VIP programme isn’t based on a points-system or multi-levelled, like some betting sites have been adopting recently.
Unfortunately, that’s all we really know about Funbet’s top-secret, exclusive VIP club. Punters who aspire to VIP status will just need to wait to be contacted by their VIP team, however, we’re pretty sure that’s reserved for the high rollers out there.
The quality of a betting site’s customer support can have a huge impact on users’ experience. Funbet’s users are in for a treat, though, as the customer care at Funbet is excellent.
Punters have a variety of ways to find the solutions or answers they need. Most punters head straight to the FAQ section at the first sign of trouble, and Funbet made the excellent decision to have separate FAQ sections for their sports betting product and their casino product.
The FAQs aren’t searchable, though they are split into topics and cover a great amount. Punters will find that their issues can likely be solved by the FAQ section before ever needing to speak with a customer care representative.
If your issue does require more assistance, though, there are plenty of great options at your disposal. Punters can communicate directly with the Funbet team via live chat, an Indian telephone helpline, and email.
We’re especially impressed to see that Funbet offer a local, Indian telephone number for their helpline. Bettors in India don’t need to worry about expensive international calling rates, and can get the support they need without having to pay through the nose for it.
When it comes to reviewing new betting sites, we always walk into this part of the review testing holding our breath. Some new betting sites don’t have the resources to offer top-notch customer service. Luckily, the live chat experience at Funbet is phenomenal.
For starters, Funbet’s live chat support is available 24/7, meaning punters have access to round-the-clock support. This is great news for people who like to bet on American and European sports, as you can bet live and still have access to customer support even in the middle of the night.
What impressed us the most was that the customer service representatives were fast and knowledgeable. We never had to wait more than 5 seconds for a response. To be perfectly honest, we ended up testing this several more times than is usual, just to be completely sure that this was accurate.
On top of all of this, the live chat operators were always friendly and polite. We’ve had some nightmare live chat experiences in our time reviewing betting sites, but Funbet provide some of the best live chat customer support we’ve ever seen.

Not only do punters save money by not having to deal with currency conversion fees , but Funbet has Indian telephone customer support, so that bettors in India don’t need to waste money on international calling rates.
