This is one of the newest betting sites to hit the market, and our iBet review tells you everything you need to know before you sign up.
We haven’t left a single stone unturned. Whether you’re curious about how safe this bookmaker is, iBet’s odds prices, or their payments system, we have all the answers you’re looking for.
iBet Welcome Bonus – 100% up to C$400
When it comes to welcoming new bettors, iBet are definitely on the right track. New users can get their first deposit matched up to C$400!
iBet Welcome Bonus | 100% up to C$400 |
Min. Deposit C$20. Wagering Requirement: 7x deposit + bonus within 20 days. Min Odds: 2.00. 18+, New Players in Canada Only, Please Play Responsibly. |
We recommend being cautious about the size of bonus you aim for, though. While C$400 looks like a great bonus on the surface, the terms and conditions tell a different story. For one, you’ll need to wager your deposit AND your bonus 7x over in just 20 days. Here’s how much you’d need to spend:
First Deposit | Bonus | Wagering Requirement |
C$400 | C$400 | C$5600 |
C$200 | C$200 | C$2800 |
C$100 | C$100 | C$1400 |
C$50 | C$50 | C$700 |
C$20 | C$20 | C$280 |
Even when trying to claim the smallest bonus available of C$20, you’ll need to wager C$280 to redeem it. This is way more difficult to redeem than what lots of other betting sites have on offer.

Other Promotions & Offers
Unfortunately, iBet don’t have any other sports offers or promotions at the moment. However, it’s normal for bookmakers to run special promotions around huge sporting events, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see promotions leading up to events like the Super Bowl.
Is iBet Safe?
iBet is licenced by the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA/B2C/748/2019), who, according to their website, describes themselves as the ‘Creators of Internet Gaming History’ This is one of the most reputable and safe financial regulators in the business. Their primary objective is customer safety, so you can rest assured that websites operating within their jurisdiction will not include any unreasonable or dishonest conditions.
Even though iBet is a new betting site that hasn’t had the time to build up a solid reputation yet, the fact that they hold one of the world’s most trusted remote gambling licenses tells us everything we need to know.
Deposits & Withdrawals
Depositing and withdrawing funds is relatively easy with iBet. Of course, you’ll need to complete identity verification before requesting any withdrawals, but that’s standard across all betting sites right now.
Whilethe list of supported payment methods isn’t exactly the longest, all the Canadian favourites are supported. Interac, Muchbetter, and even your regular credit and debit cards are all accepted here, as well as others.
Transaction Limits
Payment method | Min – Max Deposit | Min Withdrawal |
Visa | C$10 – C$1000 | C$10 |
MasterCard | C$10 – C$1000 | C$10 |
Interac | C$10 – C$3000 | C$10 |
MuchBetter | C$10 – C$2000 | C$10 |
NeoSurf | C$10 – C$1000 | C$10 |
As far as withdrawal limits go, we can only provide you with estimates at the moment. iBet haven’t confirmed any concrete figures in Canadian Dollars, and the figures below are estimates based on the conversion from the Euro values listed on their website and given to us by several of their customer service representatives.
As you can see, though, even with just rough estimates, it’s clear that iBet’s rules and limits are more than reasonable. The average bettor will never even need to think about the withdrawal limits.

The iBet Betting Experience
iBet cover a huge array of sports, ranging from the crowd pleasers like international soccer and NHL, to more niche sports like snooker and water polo.
The site runs on the Betsson platform, which means that everything is easy to find, and laid out in a user-friendly way. Even complete beginners should have no issues finding the events and bets they’re looking for.
For the more experienced bettors, iBet even feature detailed sports statistics provided by SportRadar. This is definitely a great tool for bettors who like to get analytical and crunch the numbers before placing their bets.
The stats are updated regularly, sometimes even in real-time. We definitely recommend that more experienced and more dedicated bettors make use of this feature to try and get a mathematical edge over the house.
Markets
Generally speaking, iBet have a decent amount of markets available for most sports, though there’s definitely room for improvement. For most sports, iBet lagged behind the competition a little when it came to the variety of available betting markets.
Hockey fans are in luck, though. iBet features one of the widest selections of NHL betting markets out there, so we definitely recommend checking them out come NHL season.
iBet | BetVictor | |
NFL | Winner Only | 2 – 6 |
MLB | 50 – 55 | 93 – 140 |
NBA | 25 – 67 | 67 – 138 |
NHL | 99 – 128 | 31 – 113 |
Cash Out
Cash out is a mixed bag at iBet. While this feature is still a little half-baked, there are elements of it that we just love.
For starters, Full Cash Out isn’t available, you can only cash out your bets partially. This is an odd restriction, and iBet’s customer service representatives weren’t able to explain why this is the case. In fact, they weren’t even able to tell us how much of each bet could be cashed out, as cash out prices are dictated by Betsson, and not iBet themselves.
However, we absolutely love that every bet that can be cashed out (and that’s most bets) is clearly marked before you actually place your bet. This is great for bettors who like to use cash out as an integral part of their betting strategy, unlike many other sites that hide this information until after you’ve already staked a wager.
As you can expect with betting sites that are this new, there’s no auto cash out function just yet, but we hope to see this added in the future.
Odds Comparison
While we’d definitely like to see some more variety in terms of things like betting markets and the available betting features, iBet’s odds prices are amazing.
We put them up against BetVictor, another international bookmaker that operates here in Canada. As you’ll see below, iBet came out on top in every test we ran. This is definitely where to find some of the best value for money out there.
iBet | BetVictor | |
NFL | ||
LA Rams | 1.31 | 1.30 |
Chicago Bears | 3.55 | 3.50 |
Overround | 104.5% | 105.49% |
NHL | ||
New York Islanders | 2.42 | 2.30 |
Tie | 4.10 | 3.80 |
Pittsburgh Penguins | 2.62 | 2.45 |
Overround | 103.88% | 110.61% |
MLB | ||
New York Mets | 1.35 | 1.30 |
Colorado Rockies | 3.25 | 3.00 |
Overround | 104.84% | 110.26% |
Let’s take a look at the Islanders game against the Penguins. A $20 bet on the Islanders to win has a potential payout of $48.40 with iBet, but only $46 with BetVictor.
That $2.40 may not seem like much, but that’s a difference of 5%. Think of all the bets you place across a year. An extra 5% in winnings can add up to a decent chunk of change.

iBet on Mobile & Tablets
Most bettors out there do most of their betting on their phones, and iBet’s mobile site gives bettors a smooth, user-friendly experience.
The biggest downside, though, is that iBet don’t have any native apps for Android or iOS. Of course, you can just use your phone or tablet’s browser to use iBet on the go, but the lack of native apps comes with a lack of app-specific features like biometric logins, easier push notifications, and more.
Other than that, though, iBet works just as well on mobile as it does on desktop. Like we said above, even complete beginners will be able to find their way around with no issues.
The In-Play Betting Suite
Fans of live betting are well served at iBet. Much of what we mentioned above, like the selection of betting markets and odds prices, carry over here as well. This is definitely a great choice for bettors who want to get as much bang for their buck as possible.
There’s still a lot of room for improvement, though. Like we said above, the Cash Out feature is relatively limited at the moment, which has a huge impact on many live bettors’ strategies. Plus, iBet doesn’t offer live streaming, which means that bettors will need to use a second screen to be able to watch the game while they bet.
Does iBet Have a VIP Club?
At the time of writing, there’s no VIP Club at iBet. Being such a new player in the online betting scene, that isn’t too surprising, but it’s definitely bad news for the high rollers out there. Luckily, this won’t affect most bettors, though.
Help & Customer Support
At first glance, it looks like iBet has everything they need to give their users top-notch customer service. They have a help section that’s split into categories and is searchable, they offer 24/7 live chat, and you’re never more than just 2 clicks away from being able to talk to a real person.
Unfortunately, we ended up really disappointed once we took a closer look. Their help section is full of different articles and how-tos, but we soon found out that many of those pages are outdated. For example, their help section lists live chat hours as 11AM – 10PM (no mention of which time zone), but their live chat actually operates 24/7.
We found plenty of other Help articles that included outdated information and broken images, but the worst part is that the entire help section is geared towards their European customers.
This means that there isn’t any way to quickly and easily find information like which Canadian payment methods are available, and all references to currency are in Euro. We hope this gets updated soon but considering this bookmaker has been operational for less than a year, weren’t expecting their help section to be so out of date.
The Live Chat Experience
One thing we liked about iBet’s live chat service is how quickly we were able to connect to the agents. We never had to wait longer than a minute, and iBet even display a handy countdown timer so you know how long your wait is going to be.
Unfortunately, connecting to the live chat operators is where our positive experience ended. Their agents are all very polite, and we believe that they’re genuinely doing their best, but unfortunately they don’t speak English very well. We found it really difficult to communicate when using iBet’s live chat. The agents found it difficult to understand our questions, and we found it difficult to understand their responses.
As we said, the operators were all very polite and did their absolute best to overcome the language barrier. However, this was still the most challenging portion of our iBet review testing, which isn’t an issue we encounter very often.
iBet Contact Details:
- Live Chat: Yes 24/7
- Email: [email protected]
- FAQ Section: Available, though Unreliable
How Well does iBet Serve Canadian Bettors?
iBet is a European bookmaker that’s new to the Canadian market, and it shows.
We love that they accept Canadian-exclusive payment methods like Interac, and accept Canadian Dollars so we don’t have to waste money on currency conversion fees. We’re big fans of their NFL betting product.
However, their lack of promotions in Canada, the fact that all of their documentation is Europe-specific, and the language barrier issues we experienced with their customer care can’t be ignored. These issues make it clear that there’s still more work to be done before iBet win’s over Canada.
iBet Review – Final Thoughts
If you’ve made this far into our iBet review, then you already know that we’ve looked at this bookmaker from every possible angle. While it certainly won’t be rated the number 1 betting site in Canada, iBet is still a solid choice for some.
If you’re an NHL fan, or you’re new to online betting, then iBet is perfect for you. They offer a user-friendly experience, great odds prices, and a huge selection of NHL markets.
If NHL betting isn’t your biggest priority, or you’re a relatively seasoned bettor, then you may want to revisit iBet in a year or two. This bookmaker has only just opened, and while they have plenty of work to do now, we’re sure that they’ll get there.
- Good value odds
- Great selection of NHL markets
- Canadian payment methods accepted
- MGA licensed
- No smartphone apps
- No live streaming
- Typos and other errors make documentation look unprofessional
- Welcome bonus is extremely difficult to redeem
