Champions League Format
For smaller clubs, the Champions League adventure starts in June with a preliminary round. This is followed by three 2-leg qualifying rounds and a final play-off round. Six teams advance from this stage to the Group Stages where some of the biggest clubs in World football await. The top 2 teams from each group advance to the knockout stages while the 3rd placed teams go into the Europa League.
