Odds Comparison

To get a better feel for the value offered in their odds, we took at an upcoming EPL match to see how Grosvenor compares to a couple of their rivals. The results of this snapshot were positive, with Grosvenor offering slightly better value than the other sites.

A look at the upcoming South Africa vs Sri Lanka contest in the Cricket World Cup gave us 1/2 on South Africa and 31/20 on Sri Lanka. Paddy Power has the same price on South Africa but 13/8 on Sri Lanka, giving marginally better value.

A snooker showdown between Stephen Hendry (5/2) and Li Hang (7/25) in the European Masters is slightly poorer compared to the 13/5 on Hendry and 2/7 given on Hang at William Hill. However, the margins were pretty small in all of the comparisons we looked at.

Features

Placing a bet on your chosen sport and event is simple on this site, as all you need to do is click on the selected odds. All of the features you would expect to see are present, from tools that help you build bets to live streaming and more. The site is easy to use but has a lot of information too, which is always a good combination on sporting betting sites.

Building a bet is really simple on here, as you just look for the Bet Builder tab on the match or event you are interested in. Click on each element you want to add and the odds will be automatically worked out for you. There is no tutorial needed and if you try to mix bets that don’t go together will be advised to make some changes.

Accumulators can be easily created on this site by choosing the bets you think will come up. You can choose different sports but not outcomes that contradict one another. Look out for the acca offers that regularly pop up with odds boosts.

Blog and Community

The Grosvenor blog is interesting but doesn’t give us any great insights into the upcoming events. Their Twitter account has close to 6,000 followers and regularly posts news snippets and interviews with stars or sports analysts.

Mobile

You can place some bets on a mobile basis with the Grosvenor mobile app. However, despite being listed on their site, it didn’t appear to be on the Google Play Store at the time of writing this review. The other option is to head to their site on your mobile browser and sign in there, which leads to a slightly more cluttered look than on desktop.

If we check out the live football markets, we can see the likes of total goals, half time score, next goals etc. It is easy to place bets speedily and then follow the action, making for a positive user experience. 

Live Streaming

You can watch live UK and Irish horse and greyhound racing on the Grosvenor site. You just need to have a positive account balance or have placed a bet in the last 24 hours. For anything that isn’t available with live streaming, you can follow the updates on the screen with some fairly basic details of how the action is unfolding.

VIP

An invitation-only sports betting club gives regular offers such as free bets to their chosen members. However, it isn’t clear what you need to do to receive an invitation to this club.

Customer Support

We decided to speak to a live chat agent, to ask a few questions about bonuses and deposit methods. The service isn’t 24/7 but is open from 7am to 10pm, seven days a week. You also have the option of sending them an email or going through a short FAQ section.

A friendly agent answered our first question in under a minute, and appeared to be as knowledgeable as we had expected. The question about the speed of deposit methods seemed to be more difficult and we had to hang for a while to get the answer. Overall, the customer service was good but just a little slower than we had hoped for.
